Jerome Valcke, FIFA General Secretary declared that tickets of 70% of matches of FIFA World Cup 2014 would cost less than the tickets sold at South Africa 2010, making Brazil 2014 “cheapest ever”. Ticket prices will be declared on 19th July.
Amidst protests from millions of Brazilians during the Confederations Cup, FIFA President Sepp Blater hailed the tournament as a success. FIFA did not responded to security issues and said it to be a Government concern.
FIFA was also one of the targets of protestors, complained that high investments of public money could have been used for the betterment of hospitals and schools.
